As a company at the forefront of medical and point-of-care diagnostics, Alere Limited needed to update and modernise its existing offices in Greater Manchester; as a provider of reliable, actionable and rapid diagnostic tests, Alere required a space which reflected its cutting-edge work.

To update the offices, creating a contemporary yet professional feel, our team of rischegroup experts fully stripped out the existing space. Because of this we also had to bring the rest of the building up to specification, which involved a modification of the current fire detection system and a complete overhaul of all mechanical, electrical and ventilation systems.

Aside from refurbishing the existing office suite, we also built a new mezzanine floor to accommodate an additional office area. Other new additions to the office layout included the creation of cellular offices and a bespoke breakout facility.

As this design & build contract was a complete refurbishment project, we developed a whole new design scheme for the office; this meant that we also had to replace the building’s external windows to match the new fire escapes we had installed, and implement new corporate signage and lighting schemes throughout to fit in with the new décor.
